Teasday - Teapigs Chai
For this Teasday the subject is Teapigs Chai a wonderful black assam tea blended with spices inspired by the popular Indian drink Chai Masala.
To drink it in the true Chai Masala style it should be prepared by simmering milk, sugar & leaf tea together to produce a fairly heavy, syrupy drink that is strained to remove the tea leaves & spices before serving.
I am drinking my Chai without...

Moving update
The move has not gone smoothly thus far. The letting agent (who shall remain nameless for now) failed to clean & repair the flat as agreed so moving in had to be pushed back by 24 hours.
Cleaning was completed yesterday & as the guys had already paid for the moving van they decided to still move their stuff the same day. The van arrived at the new place approximately 22:00 & it took...

On the move...
…to the new Lair*.
From 29th January to 7th February posts here may be a little less regular as the Lair is moving & I will therefore have limited internet access when I am not at the Annexe. I have tried to make this as little of an inconvenience to my readers as possible by queueing some posts to publish automatically each day & I shall also add smaller posts from my iPhone.
I...

Shopping - New Nails Inc Polish →
I simply adore Nails Inc polishes. I find most brands will chip within a few hours as I’m constantly doing product demonstrations at work which have me continuously putting my hands in water. Nails Inc however will last me up to a week when I wear them. The magnetic polishes are great fun & two new colours have just been released (click here for the raspberry shade) so I think a trip to...

Appreciation for the people you love - Best...
A lot of the time we take the people around us for granted. I am going to write a little series about the people in my life.
Best Mates - Katie & Pippa
Katie is probably the friend who has known me the longest. We met in school finding an instant affinity as both our surnames begin with the same letter so we were usually sat next to each other if classes were arranged in register order....

Teasday - Starbucks Vanilla Rooibos
It’s Teasday, I’m making it a thing! Today I will be talking about Starbucks Vanilla Rooibos. I was intending to talk about a different tea however I left the packet at the Lair & I am at the Annexe (different parts of London) so Starbucks it is. Rooibos is a red herbal tea that has no caffeine which is part of the reason I chose it. I am drinking it & writing this review in...

Post planning
I’m working some rather unsociable hours this week so I’ve been planning my posts in advance rather than waiting until the day to just write whatever comes into my head. Here’s an idea of a few things coming over the next few days:
Valentine’s Ideas
Launch of Teasday weekly tea review
Recipes for salsa & guacamole
Book review (when I finish reading the book)

Friday today....nothing planned for tonight? →
Why not indulge in a little Shakespeare to start your weekend off with a bit of culture & lots of laughs?! 0atman & I saw this a few weeks back & it is utterly brilliant. I highly recommend it for a relaxed night out. The food is wonderful & reasonably priced if you arrive early enough to dine before the show & the bar is open throughout the performance. Be warned audience...

Tomorrow is my day off...
…I am really looking forward to it. I’ve had a few pretty tough days with a lot of out of work projects as well as being back in the shop & suffering a bout of insomnia on Monday night.
My options for tomorrow include:
Reading Looking For Alaska by John Green
Sketching
Pampering session
Baking
A trip into Kingston-Upon-Thames to go Montezuma’s
Watching a girly movie

Music - Professor Elemental
I’m a funny one when it comes to music. If I find something I like I will repeat it time & time again on my iPod for weeks & weeks. I have fairly eclectic tastes so usually will give anything a try.
A couple of months ago 0atman introduced me to the music of a rather Splendid chap; he is the marvellous Professor Elemental . It was just before we were due to go to my first Steampunk...

Passport Renewal Time
As @cakeorbed is about to embark on her adventures in NYC & has said I am welcome to visit I have decided it is about time for me to actually get around to renewing my passport.
I did begin to do this last summer when I was planning a trip with another friend but for various reasons this fell through & I never sent off the application.
The thing that bothers me about this renewal...

Eating Out - The Ivy, London
Today I had a real treat! My sister Kate invited me along with our parents & her fella to lunch at The Ivy.
We all got rather excited & spent absolutely ages deciding what to wear. The exception being Dad who was instructed by the three women of the house on what to wear as he seems in his recent years to have developed an aversion to wearing anything other than his t-shirt, joggers...

Eating Out - Wahaca, Westfield Stratford City
So this evening 0atman & I went to the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford, East London in search of new work attire for him.
As we entered the mall we came across this quite fascinating display which I believe might be something to do with a mobile phone company but had no markings to give us the answer!
Before embarking on our shopping session we decided to refuel at Wahaca one of my...

The Lush Spa - The Good Hour Massage & The Sound...
In the interests of full disclosure for anyone reading this blog who doesn’t know me personally. I work for Lush Limited (not in the Kingston store) however this blog & the contents of it are in no way controlled or sponsored by them at all. I genuinely love my job & the fantastic products I get to play with! I do use products from other companies & will talk about whichever ones...
My trip to the Lush Spa was utterly wonderful! I am so relaxed I am going to flump on the sofa for the remainder of the evening with 0atman & I will post my thoughts on the treatments tomorrow after a good sleep!

Holiday starts today!
I work in retail so I don’t get lots of time off over the festive season. After a busy time in my shop over Christmas I decided to take a little four day holiday to give myself a break & recharge. That break begins today.
This morning I have had a lovely long lie in before making myself a pot of coffee & bringing it back to bed to curl up under the cosy duvet & begin my day...
First post!
So here it is my first tumblr post. You can all thank (or blame) @cakeorbed for this as it is a conversation we had over dinner this evening that was the catalyst for me signing up.
