Halloween Movie Ideas #3

There are so many films that are great for Halloween that I cannot possibly tell you about all of them. In a way this is good as it means I will be able to tell you more next year. Here are the last of this year’s recommendations:

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006) - Tom Tykwer Drama/Fantasy

Another that is not strictly a horror but has some really creepy stuff going on. Certainly one to watch as the evening draws in & things become a bit freakier.

Van Helsing (2004) - Stephen Sommers Action/Adventure/Drama

Vampires, Werewolves, silver bullets, crosses & Frankenstein’s monster. What more need I say?

The Phantom of the Opera (2004) - Joel Schumacher Drama/Musical/Romance

A thoroughly discomfiting tale of enchantment, pity, romance & hatred that seems somehow a wonderfully appropriate story for the occasion. The only difference between this & other Halloween stories is that in this one we see a little from the monster’s point of view.
