Tris very kindly made me the Reawakening Breakfast Tea & brought it to me in bed. This was a perfect cuppa for first thing in the morning a refreshing, clean taste without any overpowering flavours.
Step Two: Fragrant Green Tea
A strongly jasmine scented tea that I was eager to drink just from the smell. The taste was a pleasing green tea with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Step Three: Soothing White Tea
This blend was not one I was eager to try as I’m not a fan of fennel or aniseed. The intense fragrance of these ingredients overpowered the peppermint but once I tasted it I found it to be quite palatable. I was feeling pretty full after a big lunch when I drank this so I was pleased the promise of aiding digestion was fulfilled. Within twenty minutes I felt much better!
Step Four: Energising Earl Grey
Quite simply a tasty blend of Earl Grey that gave me a decent boost for the afternoon.
Step Five: Caffeine Free Rooibos Tea
Very strong vanilla scented rooibos tea that was lovely to drink.
Overall I enjoyed the Tea Treatment but I shan’t be making it part of my daily routine. I don’t have the time to make & drink that much tea throughout the day but it will make me think more about which tea I choose for each time of day when I do make a cup.
My sister showed me an article in her copy of Elle Decoration a couple of weeks ago about Bloom Five Step Tea Treatment Plan & suggested I try them to review here so I ordered a sample pack which was £3. I was surprised at how quickly these arrived as I had incorrectly assumed that since the company offers free delivery on samples they would take at least a week to turn up. The packet was on my doormat within 2 days!
The teas are chosen for different reasons:
Breakfast tea to boost your metabolism.
Green tea to de-stress during work mid morning
White tea for aiding digestion
Earl grey tea which will restore concentration
Rooibos tea for relaxing & detoxing at the end of the day.
The overall intention is to keep you hydrated & for the teas to work together to improve your immune system & general well-being. Bloom is a London based company founded only two years ago by a guy named Craig Coulton who found his lifestyle drained him so much he became ill. He was helped in his recovery by the teas he drank & as such wanted to make a similar therapy available to others. This particularly interests me as I have a bad habit of over-stretching myself & becoming run down.
Three of the five treatment blends have won Great Taste Awards so I have high expectations for them especially as some of the other winners are brands I particularly like.
Since receiving the pack of samples I’ve realised that I shall have to wait for a day off when I’m indoors to taste them as I won’t have time to drink & review them all on a work day.
